Kolgrima from Red Feather (US2017205197)
F: Þröstur frá Hvammi (C: 8,53, R: 8,63, T: 8,59)
M: Grímhildur frá Árbakka (C: 8,04)
Price: $22,000
Kolgrima from Red Feather is a fantastic, promising 6 year old mare looking for her people! She is a calm, sweet mare with fantastic bloodlines and a great future ahead of her. She is relaxed enough for trail riding in the woods and on the beach but has beautiful gaits for a promising future as a youth or adult competition horse. She was started and trained by professionals for over a year and is lovely to ride. She has already scored over 6.0 in green horse four gait with just one year under saddle, and scored up to 7.5 in walk, 6.5 in tolt, 6.5 in trot and 6.0 in canter. She was green horse division champion in the 2023 national virtual show and is currently the second highest nationally ranked domestic bred four gaiter. Her strong basic gaits would also make her fun to work with in dressage or working equitation. She loves youth riders and has clean, easy to train gaits.
Njóla from McClendon Icelandics (US2014204911)
SOLD
F: Sindrason from Helms Hill
M: Vængskjóna from Extreme Farms
Price: $17,000
Njóla from McClendon Icelandics is a 9 year old unflappable black beauty. She has become a favorite of our school program and of almost everyone she has met. Tried and true out on the trail and in the ring by all ages and skill levels. She has a nice willingness in that she is forward enough that she does not need to be nagged but laid back and safe. She is light on the reins and fun to ride. Njóla does need some help to hold her balance in the tolt but this is something we think will improve with more strength. Her canter is balanced enough to be ridden in the arena even by those relatively unexperienced in canter, and she has a nice, comfortable trot. The person who walks away with this girl will be lucky indeed!
Hnokki from Windsong (US2014104961)
SOLD
M: Löpp from Morningstar
F: Glymur frá Engihlíð (R: 7.75, C: 8.13, T: 7.9)
Hnokki is a calm nine year old gelding with a high amount of professional training and tons of heart. He is up for just about anything from competition to trail rides and obstacle courses. He is a fought over favorite in our lesson program and has been ridden by students as young as 11. He was reserve champion in the Green Horse Division of national virtual competitions in 2021 and 2022, receiving up to 6.0 in walk and canter. He loves exploring the trails with his rider and handles obstacles with ease that would make most horses think twice. He is very well schooled in dressage exercises and has been successfully used in the demanding fourth level test of the Knapamerki program and passed with very good marks. Hnokki would best suit a confident beginner and above as he can sometimes have small “in-place” spooks that might intimidate a less experienced rider and can be a little bit pushy on the ground. Hnokki is a fabulous “up for anything” versatile horse that would love to explore anything and everything that his new person would be into!
Lólíta from Valkyrie Icelandics (US2010205030)
SOLD
M: Bláma from Saga California
F: Týr frá Árbakka (R: 8.62, C: 7.96, T: 8.35)
Lolita is a fabulous 12 year old mare. She is confident, does not spook, has a wonderfully willing attitude and is always keen to work for you alone or in a group. She is a cheerful and cooperative horse for all ages, was started by a thirteen year old girl and has excelled at both youth and adult lessons. She took a ten year old to her first shows where she placed third in the National Virtual Show in Youth Four Gait with a 5.3 and has also placed third in another National Virtual Show in the Open Individual Four Gait Class with a 6.0, scoring up to 6.5 for fast tolt and 6.0 for trot, canter and walk.
While Lólíta is super calm, safe and well educated, we don’t feel like she would fit for a total beginner. She would do best with a rider who has some experience in the saddle because she does respond to the leg, which means that accidental kicks or other signals will be responded to with forward movement. And while any novice rider and above will enjoy this calm forward response, a total beginner may miscue her and ask for a forward response they did not intend.
Lólíta is a unique and special mare with her striking color, exuberant presence under saddle, bravery and endless stamina on the trail and easy going attitude. She has been well loved by everyone in her life so far and has served many of us well, but life circumstances for the owner are making it necessary to let her go. So now it’s time for her to find her forever home with someone who adores and treats her like the little queen that she is.

She goes forward endlessly when asked but also has good brakes when needed, making her a fun riding horse. She has a fun, easy tolt, smooth trot and an unusually balanced canter for a five year old five gaiter. She is very brave and confident and has been professionally trained by the Holar educated trainers at Kjarr in Iceland. She would enjoy life as a trail horse, competition horse or breeding prospect. She has successfully gone through the Knapamerki 3 test and would be a good choice for someone looking to do the full Knapamerki program. She is fabulous on trail rides and up for almost anything you point her at.

Bliki from Fitjamyri (CA2015102926)
M: Elding from Iliff's Icelandics
F: Bragur from Fitjamyri
Bliki from Fitjamyri is a gorgeous 13.3 hh chocolate silver dapple with an eye catching walk, trot and canter and a sweet disposition. His tolt is currently limited in speed, but is definitely promising with more training and balance, and is smooth with no paciness. He is calm without being lazy and ready to try whatever you throw at him. Though willing and trusting, due to his young age at only 6 years old he looks to his rider for confidence as he explores the world around him, so he would suit best a rider that can give him that confidence. His strong walk, trot, canter would make him a good dressage prospect and the movements he shows in tolt makes him a solid candidate for Icelandic shows as well.
SOLD
Gimsteinn from South Point Icelandics (US2015105083)
M: Tindra from Harmony Acres
F: Randver from Hobby Horse Ranch
Gimsteinn is a six year old gelding with quite the head turning look! He has a long mane, half blue eyes and beautiful white facial markings. He has been started under saddle for about a year and has expressive gaits and beautiful walk, trot, and canter that would have him turning heads in a dressage arena. He can be fast and is not always confident in new situations, which means he needs a rider who is confident and correct with their aids. His tolt is developing with time and we think does have the potential to be quite good, but it is not his first choice of gait. Gimsteinn is agile and athletic and would shine in competition or as a beautiful riding horse!
SOLD
Sokkadis from Sand Meadow (US2011204549)
M: Gima frá Ytra-Dalsgerði (C: 8,20, R: 7,89, T:8,01)
F: Stígandi frá Leysingjastöðum II (C: 8,00 , R: 8,45 , T: 8,27)
Sokkadis from Sand Meadow is a fun, beautiful, forward mare who would be a great fit for someone who loves to ride, wants to do dressage, working equitation, jumping or Icelandic shows or someone looking for a breeding mare! Sokkadis has done very well especially in working equitation shows where she has won both the Introductory and Novice A levels at the Open division receiving up to 7.5 in various elements of her programs. Sokkadis would best suit an intermediate to advanced rider who would ride her regularly and continue to develop her talents. Sokkadis gives 110 percent to everything you ask of her and she would give everything she has to you! Stands for the farrier, knows cross ties, good with vet, experienced with loading and traveling in trailer. Both parents are additionally first prize, making her a good candidate for breeding in the future.

Roði frá Strandarhjáleigu (IS2014184879)
M: Linda frá Hvolsvelli (C: 8,11, R: 8,52, T: 8,34)
F: Þrisvar frá Strandarhjáleigu
Now here's one that we think is going to catch a lot of attention Roði frá Strandarhjáleigu is a 7 year old 14.2 hh gelding with eye catching looks! He is from two first prize parents and was imported November 2020. He has great gaits, is brave and solid on the trail and carries himself well. He is strong and broad, but has a flexible and soft topline. He would be great as a flashy pleasure horse but would also suit someone looking for a potential intermediate level and above competition. He knows the basic dressage exercises and is ready to learn more! He would best suit an intermediate rider and above because his size and strength might intimidate those who want to go slower, and he can get heavy if ridden primarily through the hands, but if ridden through the seat and legs primarily he is very soft and light. He is friendly and quiet in the stable and in the field, no vices.
SOLD
Trausti
Trausti is a twenty year old, three quarter Icelandic one quarter Paso Fino. He is sweet and fun to ride. Has previously been a school horse and a trail horse for an older rider. Great walk, trot and canter with steady, rhythmic gaits and a good attitude. Will go out alone but prefers riding with others. Seems most comfortable in an arena but is not spooky and is sensible. Gets attached to his pasture buddy but obedient when asked to leave her. Likely best for intermediate rider and up as he is not lazy, but he is also obedient to the reins and is not fiery or too forward. A youth or older rider with some riding experience would have a lot of fun with him! Please note that though he comes from two gaited breeds he is not gaited himself.

Oli from Rocking R (US2012105567)
M: Hugsýn frá Svignaskarði
F: Máni frá Raufarfelli 2 (C: 8,25, R: 7,89, T: 8,07)
Looking for a new home: Oli from Rocking R. This wonderful 9 year old bay gelding is sweet and soft, with natural clean beated tolt and great quality walk, trot, canter. This big boned gelding is going to be an amazing pleasure horse! In the time we have had him in training he has shown us such a wonderful personality. He is soft on the reins, obedient and light! He is less than one year trained, so he might not be an absolute beginner horse yet, but he has shown himself to be sensible in his reactions and steady even when other horses are having difficulties! His tolt is endlessly clean and his canter is balanced and can go both fast and balanced in slow. Someone is sure to snatch up this gem quickly!

Frekja (Pip) from Windsong (US2013204776)- SALE PENDING
M: Sóla from Windsong
F: Glymur frá Engihlíð (C: 8.13 R: 7,75, T: 7,90)
Frekja (Pip) from Windsong is a seven year old dark silver dapple mare who is ready to be your next horse! She has a smooth and well established walk, trot and canter, and her tolt, is comfortable and light. Pip has lots of experience on the trail, doing obstacles and herding cows. She is very mellow and goes the speed she is asked. She is a very confident horse, and though her confidence is one of her biggest strengths, it also means that she would do best with a person with the confidence to put their foot down if she becomes pushy. Whenever she travels to a new place she always acts like she already owns it. Pip is well loved by her current owners and will only be sold to somewhere they know she will thrive!
SOLD
Sóla from Sólheimar (US2014205457)
M: Síf frá Efri-Rauðalæk (C: 7,87, R: 7,83, T: 7,85)
F: Parker frá Sólheimum (C: 8,31, R: 8,44, T: 8,39)
Sola from Solheimar is a promising 6 year old mare. She has been trained for less than six months but already has an excellent, balanced walk, trot and canter and a promising tolt that just keeps getting better with a potential for speed and nice movements. Her base gaits makes her a strong possibility for non Icelandic shows like jumping and dressage and her tolt potential makes her a great choice for future competition hopes. She is forward, without ever feeling she is out of control. She is very brave and loves to go outside, confident around cars, dogs and in open fields, but is also happy in an arena. She has the highest BLUP of any mare born her year in the US, and it’s not hard to see why. Her father is Parker fra Solheimum who scored 8.31 for conformation and 8.44 for ride ability as a four gaiter, including 9.5 for trot and 9 for tolt, gallop, general impression, canter and slow tolt! Her mother is the daughter of Drottning fra Efri Rauðalæk, Icelandic Champion and first prize mare with 9 for tolt and trot and Sleipnir frá Efri Rauðalæk, a first prize stallion with 9.5 for pace and a successful career as a five gaited competition horse. Sola is looking for someone who will continue her training and find all of her potential. Due to her limited amount of training and her forward gaits she would suit best an intermediate to advanced rider.
SOLD
Halla frá Holtabrún (IS2012281652)
M: Vildís frá Skarði (C: 7,89, R: 8,10, T: 8,02)
F: Auður frá Lundum II (C: 8,31, R: 8.56, T: 8,46)
Halla is an 8 year old mare imported from Iceland this past March. She has a gorgeous walk, trot, canter, lots of dressage training and is super solid on the trail. She has been ridden all over Oregon and is a total star on the trails, going through any obstacle without a second thought! She needs a little help holding the tolt and not a whole lot of speed range currently in the gait, but will likely improve with further training. She has potential as an entry level competition horse with likely very nice scores in walk and canter. Her solid canter would also likely make her a likely candidate for jumping, and she has already done some crossrails without any hesitation. This mare is safe, safe, safe without being lazy!
SOLD
Rós from Rocking R (US2008205568)
M: Hugsýn frá Svignaskarði
F: Máni frá Raufarfelli 2 (C: 8,25, R: 7,89, T: 8,07)
Are you looking for a forward, smooth trail queen? Ros from Rocking R (US2008205568) is a sweet mare who loves to tolt. She is confident on the trail and is sensible with new objects. She does not spook and is always willing to go with you! She has a small mouth which seems to make her go best in a bitless bridle but is trained to a bit as well. A small amount of arthritis in the hock (price reflective of this) means that she is not suited to disciplines involving tight turns, but some amount of light dressage work is highly recommended to keep her traveling her best. This horse would best suit an intermediate to advanced rider who uses their forward aids well.
SOLD

He would be perfect for someone who loves to ride out on a fun forward ride where ever you would like to go! He sometimes needs encouragement from his rider to get through things he finds intimidating but always puts his trust in his rider to get him through everything. Previously loved and ridden by his owners and their nine year old daughter around the farm in Iceland, now he is here and ready to find a new home in the US. He would be perfect for someone who likes a cooperative horse with expressive tolt with a large speed range. He is quickly becoming a favorite ride of the Alfadans trainers and we do not expect to have him long!
